Beach and In-Studio Family Session
I met the Lopes family at Horseneck Beach in Westport, MA for their family session after having to cancel not only Samantha's maternity session but also then the newborn session due to the Covid-19 shut down. We were sad and disappointed that we couldn't have done those sessions safely then but I think we were able to make up for it with some beautiful images despite baby Levi being 2 months old! The Lopes family is a "Legacy Family" in that this was the third session I've had the privilege to photograph now! I photographed their oldest daughters newborn session and 1 year cake smash session! I was so excited to be able to continue the tradition and document the growth of their beautiful family.
We got some cute photos of the kids alone and together at the beach but then the wind and the humidity just let loose all it's New England furry. Not to be defeated by the weather, we planned a beautiful high-key (all white) family session back in the studio. Samantha wore the gorgeous white Isolde Gown by Sew Trendy that I had purchased for her to wear for her maternity session. She looked like an angel. A goddess. A goddess angel! Truly breathtaking!
Ohmygoodness, look how much they just adore their new baby Levi! They all loved on him and he was just the calmest little guy. He was wrapped up and passed around without so much as a peep. He knew he was in the loving arms of his family! I just love these images and how each family member got to snuggle with baby, with each other and create some beautiful photos of such a memorable time in their lives that goes too fast!
Samantha and Nelson hadn't had a professional photo of just the two of them since their wedding! I'm so happy that they decided to take the time to pose for some just of themselves. It's so important for couples to continue to have their photos taken together beyond the wedding date to be present, to have images documenting their lives to be able to share with their children and to look back on over the years. I know on wedding anniversaries I always go looking for photos of just my husband and I. How awesome is it to have these beautiful images that Samantha and Nelson will always be able to look at and remember the life they are living and creating together!
